Yes. Alarms, missions and blocking all run on the device. Pose detection for the exercise missions is on-device too — no frame ever leaves your phone.

No. There is no sign-up and no login.

On Xiaomi, vivo, OPPO and realme, aggressive battery management stops background apps, and an alarm that has been stopped cannot ring. Allow autostart for Beyond Alarm and turn off battery optimisation for it. This affects every alarm app on those phones equally.

Only to enforce the blocking rules you set for yourself. It is what lets the app notice a blocked app opening during a lockout. Beyond Alarm is not an accessibility tool and does not present itself as one.

It depends on the mode you chose. Strict asks for a ten-second hold. Hard mode has no stop button at all — only the clock ends it. Morning and Night Lockout default to Hard mode, because a lockout arrives when you have been awake about a minute.

The ones you pick, or the whole phone if you choose that. Calls still come through either way.
